For God sent not His Son into the
world to condemn the world;
but that the world through Him might
be saved. John 3:17
The world didn’t need condemning. It was
already condemned. The world needed a Savior. Jesus was the Man of the hour. He
did condemn rebuke but that was not His primary objective. He came to save the
lost.
No one else could do that. The old way of
sacrifices in the tabernacle would no longer suffice to make amends with God.
God decided it was time for one final sacrifice: His only begotten Son. In this
way man could not be at fault for insufficient sacrifice or take pride in
bringing the best sacrifice. It put us all on an even plain. We simply must
have simple faith. We do not have degrees of faith when it comes to believing
Who Christ is. We either believe or we don’t.
Through: when used as a preposition it
can mean by way of. As an adverb it can mean from beginning to end. As an
adjective it can mean permitting free passage. Not only was Jesus the Man of
the hour, He was all parts of speech of the English language. We know He called
Himself the Way to the Father. We know He is the Alpha and Omega. We know He
came and gave His Life willingly as a final sacrifice for our sins. His gift of
Salvation gives us free passage to Heaven.
I have found the path that leads to
Heaven where I will worship The One Who always was and always will be and my
bill for my entry and stay will be marked ‘Paid in Full’ all because of Jesus.
Through Him we have all we need and all we ever will need.
